Labour Minister’s former husband – supported by PSD to take over ASF
Ovidiu Wlassopol, former husband of Labour Minister Olguta Vasilescu, is supported by the Social-Democratic Party (PSD) for the position of first Vice-president of the Financial Supervision Authority (ASF), parliamentary sources have told ziare.com.
The proposal has been sent to the parliamentary Budget Committee, Ovidiu Wlassopol is to be heard later in the day.
Ovidiu Wlassopol was married to Lia Olguta Vasilescu for 13 years and they have a boy.
Currently, Wlassopol works for ASF as adviser to the cabinet of the Vice-president for Financial Instruments and Investments, according to his CV.
Formerly, Ovidiu Wlassopol worked as journalist with ‘Jurnalul national’, ‘Libertatea’ and was ProTV correspondent.
The ASF management may be taken over by deputy Leonardo Badea (PSD), currently the chairman of the Chamber of Deputies budget-finance committee.
