Liberals to stage their own electoral rally in Iasi, President Iohannis to attend


President Klaus Iohannis will attend the electoral rally organised by the National Liberal Party in Iasi on Saturdya, May 11, a party’s press release informed.

Asked before the EU informal summit in Sibiu on Thursday of he will attend the PNL’s meetings for the referendum, President Iohannis replied:  “Yes, I will attend meetings to make the referendum known”.

Liberals will launch the party’s candidates for the European elections in Unirii Square in Iasi on Saturday and they also invited the head of state to address the Romanians on the referendum on justice due on May 26

Liberal leaders and candidates to the EP elections, along with President Iohannis are also expected to attend a debate on education in the morning before the rally.

Iohannis will also launch his book “EU.RO- An open dialogue to Europe” in Iasi, at “Vasile Alecsandri” National Theatre after the rector of “AL.I. Cuza” University, former Justice minister Tudorel Toader denied the launching inside the university.

At the same time, the President might also attend the meeting organised by the Liberals in Victoriei Square in Bucharest on May.
