Liviu Dragnea has reportedly left Romania by private plane, sources say
PSD leader Liviu Dragnea has left the country on January 2, at about 20,00h, from the terminal owned by businessman Ion Tiriac, aboard a plane belonging to a Serbian company, airport sources have told G4media, quoted by digi24.ro.
The sources say Dragnea has left accompanied by his girlfriend Irina Tanase for a vacation, on the route Bucharest-Sofia-Verona. The sources have not specified why the plane was scheduled to have a stop in Sofia and who is paying for the flight. On the other hand, it is not known if Verona was the final destination.
PSD Secretary General Codrin Stefanescu said on January 3, one day after Dragnea allegedly left Romania, that the social-democrat chairman “for certain will not leave the country.”
