Save Bucharest Union (USB) candidate, Clotilde Armand (photo), obtained 28.73% of the votes cast, while her main opponent, Daniel Tudorache (PSD + UNPR) has 31.19% of the vote, show the latest official provisional results provided by the Central Electoral Bureau (BEC) Monday morning at 6:00h. Thus, PSD win all sectors of Bucharest.
Results throughout the country:
- Brasov – George Scripcaru (independent) gets 52.5% of the votes and a new mandate;
- Timisoara – incumbent mayor Nicolae Robu gets a new mandate after obtaining 52.6% of the ballots, followed by PSD’s Florica Birsasteanu – 22.6%;
- Constanta – social-democrat Decebal Făgădău gets 41.99%, followed by liberal Vergil Chitac;
- Craiova – social-democrat Olguta Vasilescu gets a new mandate after obtaining more than 60% of votes, followed by PNL’s Pavel Badea – 12.31%;
- Iasi – social-democrat Mihai Chirica gets 46% of votes, followed by PNL’s Marius Bodea – 23.34%;
- Oradea – Liberal Ilie Bolojan gets more than 70% of votes, followed by UDMR candidate Huszár István-Eric – 13.40%.
- Vaslui – incumbent mayor, social-democrat Vasile Paval gets more than 70% of votes;
- Bacau – the mayor seat goes to PSD candidate Cosmin Necula – 35%, followed by PNL candidate Dragos Luchian, former mayor Romeo Stavarache ranks fourth;
- Targoviste – social-democrat Cristian Stan wins the mayor seat, according to PSD parallel counting. PSD has won the city halls in three cities and 55 communes in Dambovita County;
- Alexandria – PSD’s Victor Dragusin gets the third mandate of mayor;
- Ramnicu Valcea – ecologist Mircia Gutau wins the mayor seat with some 45% of votes;
- In Neamt County – PSD gets County Council with 18 mandates out of 35. PSD wins in Bocaz, Tirgu Neamt and Roman, PNL wins in Piatra Neamt and Roman;
- Galati – PSD candidate Ionut Pucheanu wins the mayor seat, according to the social-democrat parallel counting;
- Alba Iulia – liberal Mircea Hava claims he has won 62% of votes;
- Focsani – PSD candidate Cristi Misaila wins with 41.5% of votes;
- Sibiu – German Democratic Forum candidate Astrid Fodor wins the mayor seat, liberal Razvan Pop concedes defeat;
- Baia Mare – former mayor Catalin Chereches, under remand for bribe taking, has won a fresh mandate with 69.6% of votes, which is definitely a first.
- Targu Mures – independent Dorin Florea gets the fifth mandate in a row;
- Botosani – liberal Catalin Flutur wins the mayor seat, PSD candidate Ovidiu Portariuc concedes defeat;
- Prahova County – more than half of the 104 city halls in the county have been won by PNL, among them Ploiesti, Campina, Sinaia and Azuga.
- Satu Mare – UDMR candidate Kereskenyi Gabor wins mayor seat with 42% of votes, defeating acting mayor Dorel Coica (PSD) – 28.47%. UDMR wins the city after a four-year break. Local council is to be made up by UDMR – 10 members, PSD – 7, PNL – 3 and ALDE – 3.
