Mihai Mărculescu – appointed DIPI chief. The Premier’s decision was published by the Official Gazette

Mihai Mărculescu was appointed Secretary of State for Intelligence and Internal Protection Department of the Ministry of Interior (DIPI), and the decision approved by Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos was published on Tuesday by the Official Gazette.

Also on Tuesday was published by the Official Gazette the decision to dismiss Rares Vaduva from office.

Rareş Văduva, former Head of Intelligence and Internal Protection (DIPI) with the Interior Ministry (MAI), was indicted on Monday by the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) prosecutors for abuse of office, for favouring the offender, for extortion and obstruction of justice.
