The hearing of the candidates proposed to occupy the positions of ministers in the Ciolacu Cabinet starts on Wednesday, from 10.00 am, and the investiture vote will take place on Thursday.
The list of ministers and the Government Program were submitted to the Parliament on Tuesday evening and the hearings schedule was established.
Thus, on Wednesday, from 10.00, the candidates for the Ministries of Agriculture, Justice and Education will appear before the commissions. From 11.00, the ministers from Development, Transport and Energy will be heard, and from 12.00 those from Finance, Research and Economy.
Candidates for the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Culture will appear before the specialized commissions from 13.00, and from 14.00 those from Health, Family and Interior.
From 15.00, the hearing of the candidates for Defence, European and Foreign Projects is scheduled, and from 16.00 the candidate for the Ministry of Environment will be heard. The investiture vote of the Ciolacu Government is scheduled for Thursday, from 12:00 p.m.
So, as we can see, two former ministers form PNL are not regained their positions anymore in the new PSD Cabinet. It is Bogdan Aurescu , the former Foreign Affairs minister and Lucian Bode, who held the Home Affairs portfolio.
As also noticed, UDMR is not in the government anymore, as the president of the UDMR, Kelemen Hunor, announced on Tuesday evening that the negotiations with the PNL for the ministries in the Ciolacu Government have failed.
The president of the UDMR has just declared on Tuesday that the members of the formation he leads will not vote for the Ciolacu Government in Parliament on Thursday. Asked whether he would vote against or abstain, the leader of the Hungarian community representatives said: “we will not vote for the Government, how can we vote for it?”
Kelemen Hunor also said that his former partners lied when they blamed the UDMR claims that led to the exit of the Hungarians from the government.
