Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has signed the order to this effect, as announced Monday evening by the official news agency TASS. According to the source, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been instructed to notify the Romanian side about this decision.
“In accordance with Article 37 of the Federal Law on International Treaties of the Russian Federation, the proposal of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to terminate the agreement between the Russian and Romanian governments regarding the opening of the Consulate General of Romania in Rostov-on-Don, dated September 22, 2005, concluded in the form of an exchange of notes, is accepted,” states the order published on the official legal information portal of the Moscow government.
