Parliament Bans Tobacco Ads Near Schools and Medical Facilities

Any form of commercial communication, including audiovisual, is prohibited for cigarettes, other tobacco products, electronic cigarettes (including Vape), smokeless inhalation products, electronic tobacco heating devices, and nicotine pouches, both on the premises of educational and medical institutions and within 200 meters of their entrances. This includes refill bottles and was mandated by a draft law adopted by Parliament.

Advertising is prohibited for alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, electronic cigarettes, including Vape type, products intended for smokeless inhalation of tobacco substitutes, electronic devices for heating tobacco and products intended for smokeless inhalation of tobacco substitutes, as well as for sachets with nicotine for oral use (pouches), within the premises of educational units and medical assistance units or at a distance of less than 200 meters from their entrance, measured on a public road. These regulations have also been added to bans on advertising to minors.
Any form of audiovisual commercial communication for cigarettes, other tobacco products, electronic cigarettes, including Vape type, products intended for smokeless inhalation of tobacco substitutes, electronic devices for heating tobacco and products intended for smokeless inhalation of tobacco substitutes, such as and for nicotine sachets for oral use (pouches) and refill bottles is prohibited.
