Parliament extraordinary session could be convened late on August

Senate Vice Chairman, Social Democrat Ioan Chelaru said the Opposition filed a request with the Parliament calling for an extraordinary session to re-discuss the law for a cut in the social security contributions (CAS) by 5 percentage points, adding that in his opinion, this session will be most likely held the last week of the parliamentary recess. ‘Indeed, this request was filed. However, Chelaru explained that the difficulty in convening the MPs in extraordinary session regards the fact that many of them are still on vacation.
