Parties start commissioning opinion polls for the presidential election: Who’s first, who’s fighting for the second place?

USR and PMP have released the opinion polls they had commissioned to test the voters’ preferences for the upcoming presidential election.

Eugen Tomac, PMP chairman, has released the results of an internal poll, revealing the incumbent President Klaus Iohannis is ranking first with 40%. PSD’s candidate, Viorica Dancila comes second with 19%, while USR’s leader ranks third with 13%.

The rest of the candidates are ranking as following:

  • Theodor Paleologu – 8 %
  • Mircea Diaconu – 7 %
  • Kelemen Hunor – 4 %
  • Alexandru Cumpănașu – 3 %

 

Another opinion poll commissioned by USR shows the same ranking for the first three positions, but with different percentages.

Klaus Iohannis would get 39%, Viorica Dancila-23.4% and Dan Barna 18.5%. Mircea Diaconu- 8%, Theodor Paleologu-38% and Kelemen Hunor 3.9%.
