PM Cioloș about unionists: I don’t meddle in electoral debates, they wanted talks with politicians

PM Dacian Ciolos has stated on Monday that he hasn’t had talks with the unionists that held protests downtown Bucharest during the weekend because he does not want to meddle in electoral debates.

“They were rather plain in their statements (the unionists – our note) that they want to talk to politicians who work on the governance programme. We still have two months to govern, I don’t see what we could have discussed what is to follow afterwards. (…) I don’t want to meddle in electoral debates. I remind you that in Chisinau there will be presidential elections next weekend. We will be in electoral campaign soon. I believe such talks should be joined by party leaders, as it happened, it’s very good this way,” Ciolos said on Monday.
