PM Grindeanu appoints former SRI General as adviser
Prime Minister Sorin Grindeanu appointed on Monday Gabriel Statescu as state adviser, according to a decision published by the Official Gazette. Statescu is a Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI) Brigadier General in reserve, retired by President Iohannis on March 8 upon the proposal of SRI Director Eduard Hellvig. In SRI, Gabriel Statescu led the Directorate for communications and IT, hotnews.ro reports.
Grindeanu worked with Statescu during his tenure as Minister of Communications.
