PM’s chief adviser resigns from office and from PSD

Roxana Popa,the chief adviser of PM Viorica Dancila, has resigned from office on Friday, also announcing she is also resigning from the Social Democrat Party (PSD), accusing that the ruling party has walked away from “the European left-wing values”.

“I inform you about my resignation from PSD after 15 years, as the party has walked away from the European left-wing values. My resignation is valid as of today, March 29, 2019,” reads a Facebook post, accompanied by the message “Because I believe in me and in a real value system”.

Roxana Popa has been Councillor in the current cabinet as of spring 2018, but she was Viorica Dancila’s adviser since the incumbent prime minister was MEP.
