PNL co-chair Alina Gorghiu says the ‘unfortunate pairing’ Sava-Piedone is over

PNL co-chair Alina Gorghiu said on Monday that the pair made up by PNL candidate for District 4 city hall Razvan Sava and Cristian Popescu Piedone was an unfortunate one, adding that this ‘collaboration’ has come ‘to a sudden end’. In the meantime, Piedone is continuing posting pro-Sava massages on Facebook.

“It was an unfortunate pairing between the two, Razvan Sava and Cristian Piedone, a pairing that has come to an end, I don’t have to make public the decision I’ve made,” the PNL co-chair said in parliament.

“The collaboration has come to a sudden end. You haven’t seen them together and you’ll never will,” Gorghiu said.

She added that she found out about the collaboration from the media.

Shortly after Gorghiu’s statement, Piedone has posted on Facebook another message in support of Razvan Sava, including a picture with the two together.

Liberal candidate for District 4 mayor, Razvan Sava, said last Thursday that he will get support in local elections from Cristian Popescu Piedone, as PPUSL has no candidate in District 4, stating however that there is no agreement between the parties.

Bucharest Court has issued a final decision on Cristian Popescu Piedone’s candidacy for District 4 City Hall, saying he cannot run again.
