PNL files simple motion against Agriculture Minister Petre Daea
The National Liberal Party (PNL) has filed on Wednesday a simple motion against Agriculture Minister, Petre Daea, which will be presented in the Chamber of Deputies plenary on Tuesday and will be subject to vote on Wednesday.
Chamber of Deputies Secretary, Georgian Pop, has said on Wednesday that Minister Daea will be in Vienna on Monday, so he will miss the ‘Government hour’ in Parliament on Monday. Daea is to meet the European Commissioner for Agriculture, he added.
The simple motion is entitled ‘After Caragea’s plague, Romania is hit by Daea’s swine fever’ (Ioan Gheorghe Caragea – ruler of Wallachia 1812-1818, during who’s rule the country was affected by bubonic plague – our note).
PNL Deputy Adrian Oros claims the simple motion was filed “due to the disastrous way the development of African swine fever was approached by Romania, which dramatically influences the meat processing industry, besides agriculture. In order to put an end to the disaster, we file this motion.”
