PNL files simple motion against Interior Minister Carmen Dan
PNL first deputy chairperson, Raluca Turcan, has announced on Wednesday that the party has filed a simple motion on Wednesday against Interior Minister Carmen Dan, after the Chamber of Deputies rejected the setting up of the investigative commission on how the Romanian authorities applied the prevention programme against the spread of African swine fever and a commission on the repression of the peaceful anti-government protest held in Bucharest, Victoriei Square, on August 10 2018.
“Carmen Dan should come to the Romanian Parliament and tell the truth,” Turcan said, adding that the rejection of the establishment of the two commissions was made without arguments, “by using untruths, the Constitutional Court allows commissions to work even if there are investigations ongoing.”
