Chairman of the National Liberal Party (PNL), Ludovic Orban announced that the Liberal leaders had agreed on Monday to file a motion of censure against the Tudose government, with discussions to begin with other parliamentary parties that might be interested in backing up the non-confidence vote.
“The ordinance that messed the fiscal system in Romania, which is putting Romania’s economic development in jeopardy, which is playing havoc in all fields, which represents an attack against the business environment and the employees, both in the public and in the private sectors, next to the dramatic aggravation of all economic indicators, underlie this decision,” said PNL chair, Ludovic Orban.
The Liberal leader also said the party had set up a group for dialogue with the civil society and another one to press on the MPs to endorse the censure motion.
According to Orban, discussions will start as of Tuesday and the motion will be filed when all procedure and political conditions are met.
