PNL tops the voting intentions, IMAS survey says

An IMAS survey conducted upon the request of Europa FM private radio broadcaster reveals important changes in the electorate’s preferences in view of the elections for European Parliament on May 26.

The National Liberal Party has taken over the top position in Romanian’s preferences, followed by PSD. The question is addressed to those who say would turn to the ballot.

Thus the voting intentions are:

PNL 25.2%

PSD 21.5%

USR-PLUS Alliance 17.7%

ALDE 12.7%

Pro Romania 11.2%

UDMR 5.1%

PMP 4.7%

DEMOS 0.4%

Asked about the intentions if the presidential elections would take place next week, the options for head of state were:

Klaus Iohannis 34.9%

Calin Popescu Tariceanu 12.9%

Victor Ponta 12.7%

Dacian Ciolos 9.2%

Liviu Dragnea 5.3%

Ludovic Orban 3.5%

Dan Barna 2.3%.

The survey was conducted by IMAS for Europa FM on a sample of 1,010 people aged 18 and over, during March 18-April 3, 2019. The interviews were conducted by phone according to the Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) method.

The error margin is of +/- 3.1%.
