PNL would win general elections with 27%, IMAS survey reads

An IMAS survey conducted on June, upon the request of the Save Romania Union (USR), the Liberals would get in general elections about the same votes as in the recent EP election on May 26.

The survey released on Saturday reads that PSD would fall below 20%, down to 18.9%, whereas USR would be voted by 17.6% of the electorate.

PLUS, led by former Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos, has 7.6% of the voting intentions, adevarul.ro informs.

According to the survey, UDMR and PMP would not meet the electoral threshold, having 2.5% and 3.7% respectively of the voting intentions.

IMAS survey June 2019 – Election for Parliament:

PNL – 27.5%

PSD – 18.9%

USR – 17.6%

Pro Romania – 9.8%

ALDE – 8.5%

PLUS – 7.6%

PMP – 3.7%

UDMR – 2.5%

DEMOS – 0.2%

Another party – 3.6%

In the EP elections on May 26, PNL got 27% of the votes, PSD – 22.5%, USR-PLUS Alliance – 22.4%, Pro Romania – 6.6%, PMP – 5.7% and UDMR 5.4%.

ALDE got 4% of the votes and did not meet the election threshold.
