Poll commissioned by USR: Ciolacu, Simion advance to presidential runoff

Marcel Ciolacu and George Simion would enter the second round of the presidential elections, if voting were held next Sunday, according to a Verifield survey, commissioned by USR. Nicolae Ciucă is in sixth place, being surpassed by Cristian Diaconescu, the survey data show. Regarding the parliamentary elections, PSD is in first place, followed by AUR and USR.

The president of the PSD, Marcel Ciolacu, leads the list of voting intentions in the presidential elections (23.4%), followed by the leader of the AUR, George Simion (19.8%), and Mircea Geoană (17.2%), according to Verifield data. The next places are Elena Lasconi (17.1%), Cristian Diaconescu (7.6%), Nicolae Ciucă (6.2%) and Kelemen Hunor (3.8%).

Diana Șoșoacă, eliminated by the Constitutional Court from the electoral race, instead leads in the top of notoriety (99.3%), over Marcel Ciolacu and Mircea Geoană (tied, with 94.9%), George Simion (93%), Nicolae Ciucă (90%) and Elena Lasconi (84%).

Parliamentary elections

Regarding the options in the parliamentary elections, PSD ranks first (28.2%), followed by AUR (22.7%), USR (19.5%). PNL would obtain only 12.6% of the votes, SOS Romania (Diana Șoșoacă) – 5.3%, and UDMR would not pass the electoral threshold (4.2%).
