President Klaus Iohannis will organize new consultation with the political parties to identify a national political consensus on Romania’s joining Eurozone, the Presidential Administration informed on Thursday after a meeting between President Iohannis, PM Victor Ponta and BNR governor Mugur Isarescu.
“Such a consensus will enable the adoption of a national strategy to join Eurozone and of a strict timetable of economic, monetary, legislative and institutional actions to provide Romania with a stable, predictable pathway,” reads the presidential press release.
The same source mentions that the president, the premier and BNR governor also agreed on setting up “a coordination committee of the Euro adoption process, that should enable the coordination and monitoring of the stages and responsibilities involved to achieve this target.”
The main stages and responsibilities of this process will be further identified.
