British PM Theresa May has met at least three leaders of some EU members states, among whom there were also Romanian President Klaus Iohannis, and leaders of the Netherlands and Belgium, in the margins of a NATO working dinner in Brussels on Thursday evening.
UK officials stated that the event had not tackled Brexit issue, according to Daily Express.
The meeting was not on President Iohannis’ official programme, nor on the agenda of the other heads of state.
Theresa May is expected to meet French President Emmanuel Macron today, in an attempt to enhance talks to reach an agreement on the UK’s exit from the European Union.
Next week, Romanian President Klaus Iohannis will attend the reception occasioned by Prince Charles’ 70th anniversary at Buckingham Palace in London, more precisely on November 14.
The Romanian head of state has been invited invited by Queen Elizabeth II to the Buckingham Palace to attend the reception on Prince Charles’ anniversary since August.
During that upcoming visit to UK, Iohannis will have a new meeting with British PM Theresa May. As recently announced, the meeting will focus on talks about the bilateral relations and the stage of the Brexit negotiations.
