President Iohannis attends sitting where new CSM leadership is elected

President Klaus Iohannis is attending the sitting of the Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM) on Friday, when a new leadership of the council is elected and the 2017 activity report is discussed.

The CSM will elect a new president and vice-president for 2018 among its members, judges and prosecutors.

According to the CSM representatives, no member has filed his candidature so far.

In 2017, the council was led by judge Mariana Ghena (as president) and prosecutor Cristian Ban (as vice-president). 2017 was also the first year that brought a new membership of the council.
