President Iohannis hopes for a wiser Government
President Klaus Iohannis says in a message sent to the Global Romanian Society of Young Professionals Conference that he hopes the future Government will be wiser than the dismissed Cabinet, able to mobilize the Diaspora’s energies to modernize Romania.
“The Romanian state still has many to learn from the expertise already accumulated by the Romanians living abroad, but also from the public policies of other countries that have faced the migration phenomenon for a long time and that knew how to capitalise a significant Diaspora community to develop the country of origin. This is also my vision as President and I hope that soon a new wiser Government than the one we have had in the past years will know how to mobilize the Diaspora’s energies in order to modernize Romania,” reads the Romanian President’s message sent to the GRASP Annual Conference in Barcelona.
After the Parliament had passed the censure motion against Dancila Government, President Iohannis designated PNL chairman Ludovic Orban as prime minister. Orban filed the list of ministers in Parliament and the Parliament’s vote is pending.
