President Iohannis earned less money from wage, more from rents
President Klaus Iohannis’ salary incomes have dropped, while his wife’s salary, as well as the presidential pair’s incomes from rent have increased in 2018, according to the latest welfare statement released by the Romanian head of state on the Presidency’s website.
President Iohannis’ wage incomes have seen a decline last year, RON 165,100, compared to RON 169,646 in 2017 and RON 196,155 in 2016.
On the other hand, his wife, Carmen Iohannis has earned a total salary of RON 33,276 last year as teacher at the “Gheorghe Lazar” High School in Sibiu, as against RON 25,075 in 2017 and RON 28,122 in 2016.
At the same time, the presidential couple’s revenues from rents have increased, mounting to RON 35,829 in 2018, compared to RON 25,529 in 2017 and RON 19,017 in 2016.
The Romanian President also has a bank account worth RON 210,000, on a slight rise compared to 2017, when he held RON 170,000. In 2016 however, the account contained RON 221,000.
Klaus Iohannis and his wife have two apartments and three houses in Sibiu.
