President Klaus Iohannis has left on Monday for a two-day visit to Croatia, vowing to express the wish for strengthening the cooperation on regional level. The Romanian head of state is to meet Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovi?, PM Zoran Milanovi? and Parliament Speaker Josip Leko.
On departure from Otopeni Airport, President Iohannis underscored this is his first visit to a country in the Balkan region and the first visit paid by a Romanian head of state in Croatia, after this country has joined the European Union.
“There is wish from both sides to give impetus to dialogue and bilateral relations, from the highest level,” President Klaus Iohannis said before his departure on Monday.
