President Iohannis turns 56, celebrates in Neptun

President Klaus Iohannis turned 56 on Saturday. Together with his wife he chose to celebrate his birthday in Neptun seaside resort, at the President’s protocol residence.

President Iohannis was in Neptun also ten days ago for the first time since he took office.

Klaus Iohannis was born on June 13 1956 in a modest Transylvanian Saxon family, as it is mentioned on his Facebook page.

National Liberal Party’s leaders Alina Gorghiu, Vasile Blaga, Catalin Predoiu were also on the seaside on Saturday, to take part in the book launch of the Liberal local leader Puiu Hasotti. Asked if she is going to attend the President’s birthday celebrations, Alina Gorghiu said “No, I won’t but I wish him <Happy birthday>.I and Vasile Blaga wish Mr. President all the best.”

In a Facebook post on Sunday, the Romanian President thanked all for their warm wishes.

“Thank you all for your warm wishes and for the trust you have in me. I also send the best thoughts, assuring you of all my consideration,” Iohannis wrote.
