President Klaus Iohannis has stated in Iasi on Wednesday that “Romania doesn’t deserve such politicians who are irresponsible to the country.” The head of state also said that “rulers have preferred a populist racket and a pathetic legislative and administrative hopping“, instead of being united around national interest.

At the same time, Klaus Iohannis added that “Iasi doesn’t deserve to end up like a city of the always promised and delayed investments”, referring to the A8 motorway linking Moldavia to Transylvania and to the regional hospital.

President Iohannis went to Iasi to celebrate the 160th anniversary of the Small Union, celebrated on January 24.

“Instead of a coherent vision, to provide Romania with a sustainable development, the incumbent rulers are jeopardizing the country’s future through an avalanche of disastrous measures (…) The union achieved 160 years ago compels us to do everything to restore hope to Romanians in a future when the country is well governed and citizens are respected”, the head of state pointed out.
