Prince Charles on official visit to Romania in March-end
Prince Charles will pay an official visit to Romania during March 29-31, the second of this kind in our country. The Prince of Wales has visited Romania many times, but there were private visits.
The UK Embassy in Bucharest announced that the British throne heir would pay an official visit to Romania. The first official visit was in 1998. Prince Charles’ visit to Romania in March-end is part of his regional tour throughout Europe. Romania is the first stop, and after that the prince will go to Italy and Austria.
Since 1998, the Prince of Wales has paid several visits to our country, most of them private, particularly in Transylvania, where he owns several properties. The last private visit was in spring last year, when he was welcomed by president Klaus Iohannis and former PM Dacian Ciolos.
Charles is patron of the Mihai Eminescu Trust, a Romanian conservation and regeneration organisation, and has bought a house in Viscri, Romania.
