PSD – 31pc, PNL – 17pc, USR – 7pc, ALDE – 2pc, independent survey reveals

An independent survey, financed by crowd-sourcing, conducted by ISS Pol upon the request of Centras and Geeks for Democracy group, reveals that PSD would be voted by 31% of Romanians, if elections take place tomorrow. Second is PNL – 17%, followed by USR – 7% and ALDE – 2%.

Of the interviewees, 52% believe the main culprit for the current situation with protests in the street is the governing coalition, 28% point to the president and 6% to the political class, hotnews.ro reports.

The survey was conducted on a sample of 965 individuals aged more than 18 years, during February 7-11, by CATI method (phone interviews assisted by computer) and has an error margin of +/-3.2%.

In regard to the main culprit for the current situation, among the Romanians with anti-government opinions: Liviu Dragnea – 41%, PSD-ALDE alliance – 26%, the government – 12%, the President – 7%, the political class – 3%, the Justice Minister – 3%, the citizens – 2%, whereas 5% do not answer.

Pro-government Romanians point to the culprit as follows: President Iohannis – 57%, Liviu Dragnea – 11%, the government – 9%, the Justice Minister – 6%, the political class – 4%, the PSD-ALDE alliance – 2%, the protesters – 2%, whereas 8% do not answer.

Asked which is the best solution to solve the current political crisis, the answers were: 20% – responsible governance from PSD, 17% – government resignation, 13% – the President’s suspension or impeachment, 12% – Dragnea’s resignation from PSD, 6% – dialogue, 6% – amending the criminal code by parliament, 5% – referendum, 5% – the resignation of Justice Minister, 2% – technocrat government, 2% – early elections, whereas 9% do not answer.

Did you take part to the street protests? The interviewees answered: 17% – yes (half of them anti-government, 33% undecided, 1/6 pro-government); 83% – no.

Asked what TV stations they watch, the interviewees said: RTV – 20%, Antena3 TV – 19%, Realitatea TV – 18%, Digi 24 TV – 18%, TVR 1 – 8%, Pro TV – 7%, B1 TV – 3% and Antena 1 TV – 1%, whereas 9% did not answer.
