R. of Moldova to have a new ambassador to Bucharest

Moldovan diplomat Mihai Gribincea is to replace Ambassador Iurie Renita, whose term has concluded, in his office in Bucharest, as R. of Moldova’s envoy, ziare.com informs.
The parliamentary committee for foreign policy and European integration due on Thursday is expected to receive Foreign Minister Natalia Gherman’s proposal for 19 candidatures for ambassador, among them Mihai Gribincea, ‘Timpul’ newspapers reports.
Mihai Gribincea was R. of Moldova’s envoy in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg and the head of Moldovan mission to NATO. He also had been Political Adviser for to the OSCE High Commissioner for national minorities in The Hague (2001-2010).
According to the media in Chisinau, Mihai Gribincea is a constant supporter of the Euro-Atlantic values. In 1998, Gribincea wrote a volume titled ‘Russian troops in Transnistria: stability factor or source of danger?’ in which he revealed that the Russian troops in the region are a source of danger against Republic of Moldova’s security and that the country should join NATO.
