Romanian ambassador to Belgium recalled
President Klaus Iohannis on Tuesday signed the decree recalling the Romanian ambassador to Belgium, Stefan Alexandru Tinca.
He was appointed Romania’s envoy to Belgium in 2012.
Stefan Tinca, born in 1971, was general director within the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He is the son of Gheorghe Tinca, former Defence minister in Vacaroiu cabinet and also Romania’s ambassador to the Czech Republic.
His recall comes one week after the deadly terror attacks in Brussels last week, when four Romanians injured have also been reported. Last Tuesday’s blasts killed 35 people and wounded more than 300 others. Three men were charged in Belgium on Monday, accused of participating in the activities of a terrorist group.
