George Scutaru to become presidential adviser on security issues
Liberal MP George Scutaru officially announced on Tuesday that he will become presidential adviser on national security issues, after he resigned from the leadership of the National Liberal Party (PNL) group within the Chamber of Deputies. He will also resign from the MP position.
“I’ll announce my resignation from Parliament, it would be a state of incompatibility between the position of MP and the one of presidential adviser and I thought it would be the normal thing to do. On Friday the last meeting of the Chamber of Deputies will take place, and it is then that I will submit my resignation from Parliament,” said Scutaru.
MP Ludovic Orban is to replace Scutaru, being elected in the position of leader of the PNL parliamentary group in the Chamber of Deputies with 43 votes, winning the competition with his colleague Mihai Voicu.
