Second attempt of selling Villa 11 in Snagov failed

The State Protocol Administration (RA-APPS) called off the second auction for selling Villa 11 in Snagov that was initially offered to former president Basescu as official residence, as it received no offer not even the selling price was down by 10 percent. The first selling attempt in February was unsuccessful, too failing any offers.

The starting price of EUR 3,018,900 plus VAT was thus decreased at EUR 2,720,900 plus VAT.

Villa 11 in Snagov was initially offered to former president Traian Basescu as official residence, next to other six locations. Basescu said he had consented to Snagov residence but that he had not received any answer from the Government, which is entitled to allot official residences.

Six days later after ex-president was informing he had accepted to move in this villa, the house was put up for sale by RA-APPS, through open auction with call.

The villa has one floor and attic has 1,702 square meters and a total area of 2,085 square meters. It has an administrative building od 183 square meters attached, an office building of 59 square meters and a surrounding land of 27,412 square meters.
