Senate rejects simple motion against FM Melescanu
The Senate rejected on Tuesday the simple motion called ‘May 26 calls for your resignation, Mr. Melescanu!’, initiated by PNL and filed on June 3 to the plenary, by 37 votes ‘for’ and 69 ‘against’. The ballot was electronic, secret.
“What happened on May 26 in the voting stations in Diaspora was the last drop to fill the glass. We can no longer tolerate the poor management of the Foreign Ministry, responsible for developing bilateral and multilateral relations and for Romania’s image, the ministry is working bad due to Mr. Teodor Melescanu. You have irrevocable failed in front of the citizens of this state to ensure their fundamental right to vote on May 26. We request you formally and explicitly to resign, Mr. Melescanu! Any piece of confidence in you was blown away on May 26 and now we announce you that you are along on the dancing floor,” the simple motion read.
