Victoria Palace, the Government’s building, was lit up Thursday evening in the colours of the Belgian flag – black, yellow and red – as solidarity with the victims of the terrorist attack in Brussels.
Thursday was national day of mourning in Romania for the victims.
The Eiffel Tower in Paris and Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate were also illuminated these days in black, yellow and red. Belgian flags were projected onto the Senatorial Palace on the Capitoline Hill in Rome.
The world’s tallest skyscraper — the Burj Khalifa, downtown Dubai — was also illuminated in memory of the victims killed in the attacks that have been claimed by the Islamic State extremist group.
