Interim Prime Minister Sorin Grindeanu has filed a notification to the Constitutional Court (CR) on the alleged fraud of MPs’ vote for the censure motion, according to Digi 24 TV and Antena 3 TV.

Two ballots more than the number of MPs were registered.

In a three-page notification, Grindeanu asks the CCR judges to take into account the fact that a “legal conflict of constitutional nature between the public authority, due to the direct effect of the result of the vote on the censure motion” was generated, according to Antena 3. The Interim PM draws attention to the fact that, although the vote had to be secret, many MPs showed the ballots and the regulations were not respected.

Grindeanu had declared on Thursday that he had asked the officers in the working apparatus “to file a request to the Constitutional Court on behalf of the government” in order to find a solution to “protect the parliamentarians vote.”

Referring to the regulations, Sorin Grindeanu suggests that, if the voting procedure is violated, the vote should be resumed.
