‘There are too many Gypsies in the Government’. Who said that?
The state adviser for Roma Dana Varga resigned on Thursday from the Cioloș Government, claiming the head of the prime minister Chancellery Dragoș Tudorache had told her “ there are too many Gypsies in the Government”.
Dana Varga told Mediafax on Friday that Tudorache also informed her there was no need for her services anymore after Valeriu Ciolan Nicolae had been appointed as state adviser in the PM’s Chancellery.
Dragoş Tudorache’s retort was not available by this moment.
Dana Varga is leading the minority department of ALDE, run by the Senate Speaker Călin Popescu Tăriceanu. She has also been his adviser while Tăriceanu was prime minister. Varga was appointed as state adviser by PM Victor Ponta in January last year.
