Ukraine asks Romania to recognize Russia as a terrorist state

Romania is very actively supporting us in the fight against the aggressor, Romania supports the idea of ​​forming an international tribunal and supports us on our way to the future, said Denys Shmyhal, the Prime Minister of Ukraine, on Thursday at the opening of a new border crossing point at Vicovul de Sus in Suceava, while also showing his recognition towards Romania and his willingness to participate in the reconstruction of Ukraine.

However, the Ukrainian PM had another request for Romania, namely to officially recognize Russia as a terrorism sponsor state.

“We would be very grateful to the Romanian side if they would officially recognize Russia as a terrorism sponsor state”, said the Prime Minister of Ukraine.

7 more crossing points will be opened between Romania and Ukraine

“After February 24, the direction to the west became the most important for us. This is where I directed the exports. To the West, in the neighboring countries, came the people who had to leave the country. Our citizens return home through these borders, and the voluminous humanitarian aid from the EU countries also passes through here,” said the Prime Minister of Ukraine. He also announced that in the future it is planned to open 7 more crossing points at the border between Romania and Ukraine.

Denys Shmyhal also said that he supports the initiative of his Romanian counterpart Nicolae Ciucă to create a working group to deal with the expansion and development of the border infrastructure at the common border between the 2 countries, which will lead to an increase in exports to Romania and other EU countries and to the intensification of economic relations between Ukraine and Romania.
