Ukrainian ballerina – assistant for a Romanian social-democrat MEP
Romanian social-democrat MEP Claudiu Ciprian Tanasescu has as assistant in Brussels a Ukrainian ballerina, Anastasia Fedorenko (photo: in the middle, standing). The young lady is 27, is married to a Romanian citizen and owns a dance school in Brussels, the Constanta based paper ‘Actualitatea’ informs. The publication says the European Parliament confirmed the news, ziare.com reports.
Anastasia Fedorenko is married to Stefan Rosu from Brasov city (central Romania).
According to her CV, the ballerina says she does not speak Romanian, she speaks Russian and English and has graduated as choreographer at the Kiev Cultural University and also graduated a master at the Kherson State University.
She teaches ballet since 2005, as well as other dance styles and fitness, while during 2009-2011 she was a ballerina on a cruise ship. She currently owns a dance school in Brussels.
The PSD MEP did not want to comment in the issue, B1TV reports.
In 2014 the European Parliament decided to ban MEPs from employing relatives as advisers or assistants, but they can employ close friends or relatives of friends, the Constanta publication reads.
The source informs MEPs cashes a monthly net salary of EUR 6,200 plus EUR 21,209 for personnel expenditures and EUR 4,299 for expenditures related to the parliamentary office. Assistants accredited to Strasbourg and Brussels have minimum salaries starting from EUR 1,619 per month.
