President Klaus Iohannis has announced the release of a new book, which will be available as of mid-April, representatives of the ‘Curtea Veche’ publishing house have told hotnews.ro.
In the foreword, Iohannis says he has tried to present the main mechanisms, values and political themes of the European project in an accessible way
The President has posted on Facebook a photo with the book called ‘EU.RO – open dialogue about Europe’.
The message reads: coming soon.
The book has 396 pages and will cost RON 59.
Battle for internet domains
Klaus Iohannis posted a teaser Monday morning before launching his book by posting a photo of tuestieu.ro (You are eu.ro) on the Presidential Administration’s Facebook page. Shortly after, on the Rotld website, the Romanian Internet Domain Register registered a reservation of the “tuestieu.ro” domain, which was made by PSD.
According to Digi24.ro, after reading the text posted by Klaus Iohannis, a text that seems to be a campaign slogan, the Social-Democrats believed that the head of state would launch a political platform called “You’re eu.ro” and rushed to reserve the domain on the Internet. But text was only part of the President’s communication strategy to launch his book named “Eu.Ro”.
Klaus Iohannis wrote two books so far. The first one “Step by Step” was launched in November 2014, shortly after winning the presidential election.
In May 2015, the head of state published the second book, “The First Step,” in which he recalls the main moments of the presidential campaign in 2014 and the first days of his term in office.
