US Embassy to Romania Charge d’Affaires Dean Thompson on Tuesday said that the United States will continue to cooperate with Romania in order to promote freedom and defence against regional and global threats, Agerpres reports.

“We will cooperate to make sure that the law is enforced for everyone and both countries are protected against transnational crime and terrorism. It is a common duty to guarantee that these ideas and institutions are protected, strengthened and preserved for the following 135 years, for the future generations,” Dean Thompson said at the public debate occasioned by the celebration of 135 years of Romanian-US diplomatic ties, organised by the Black Sea University Foundation.
