USR MPs wore masks on the first day in Parliament’s autumn session – protest against those who gassed the protesters
The Save Romania Union (USR) have attended the works of the Chamber of Deputies plenary, on the first day of the second ordinary session of the Parliament, wearing masks in protest against the ‘gassing’ of protesters on August 10 during the Diaspora rally.
USR leader, Dan Barna, said this is a sign of solidarity with the victims in Victoriei Square, ziare.com reports.
“Our gesture is one we consider as natural, of solidarity with the tens of thousands of Romanians who were gassed and beaten by PSD on August 10, by the order of Liviu Dragnea and to protest against the attempts to cover it, things must not remain like this. USR will lay constant pressure for revealing those responsible for the fact that Liviu Dragnea decided to gas the people, in the attempt to turn Romania into an authoritarian state,” Dan Barna said.
