USR and PLUS leaders, Dan Barna and Dacian Ciolos, have posted on Sunday a common message claiming they fight any attempt aiming division and that the two parties will run together in presidential, local and parliamentary elections.
Barna and Ciolos argue that they’ve decided to send a common message, following the messages published by the media saying that tensions are eating away the alliance, ziare.com reports.
The two party chairmen admit negotiations are taking place these days, in regard to the future of the alliance and some discussions are heated.
“Yes, we discuss these days about the future of the alliance. Our alliance is, in fact, the alliance made by those who have offered their confidence. Sometimes the discussions are heated, each party comes with ideas and solutions to capitalize each party’s inheritance. One things is clear, USR and PLUS will go further together, to the presidential, local and parliamentary elections. We are determined this is the best formula and we will become more effective if we reach an agreement together, so that Romania is better governed after the elections. No attempt to divide us will discourage us,” the USR and PLUs message reads.
