President Iohannis criticizes obsolete education system, incoherent ideas

President Klaus Iohannis has criticized the education system on Wednesday, arguing it is obsolete, full of incoherent ideas which turn into legal initiatives or ordinances.

“I’ve said it repeatedly, we need an educated Romania, a Romania with increasing number of children achieving performance, whereas the development of the education system should be based on well thought strategies. This is my wish, but we have an obsolete system, with a lot of incoherent ideas which, most times, turn into legal initiatives or ordinances,” President Iohannis said during the event of launching a solar house.

The head of state added that the modernization of Romania depends on economic stability, which should allow the promoting of a society based on knowledge, able to intelligently and sustainably exploit the technological challenges of the future, hotnews.ro reports.
