A prosecutor with the District 3 Court Prosecutor’s Office has closed, on Tuesday, the file on “driving on public roads of a vehicle registered in another state – which does not have the right to go on traffic in Romania,” concerning the car registered in Sweden with anti-PSD plates.
The magistrate was therefore in agreement with the proposal to classify the investigation by the officers of the Traffic Police Brigade.
Lawyer Ioana Mates, who defends Razvan Stefanescu, told ziare.com that she will go to the Traffic Police Brigade on Tuesday to get his client’s license.
“We received the solution of closing the file: the offense does not exist. We are about to go to the traffic police offices to recover the driving license,” Mates said.
Last week, the Traffic Police announced that they will propose to the Prosecutor’s Office to close the investigation. Moreover, the Police Chief has requested an investigation into the contradictory communications of his subordinates on the matter.
The license plates, withdrawn by the Swedish authorities, will be sent to that country and the driver will be allowed to go on traffic with the permanent plates.
Răzvan Ștefănescu, the driver from Sweden with anti-PSD plates, said last Tuesday, while at the Traffic Police offices, that he will file a criminal complaint because his son had to attend the hearings, which lasted several hours.
Eva Isaksen, spokesperson for the Transport Agency in Sweden stated last week that the registration plates with an anti-PSD message will be revoked by the Swedish authorities.
Răzvan Ştefănescu, the owner of the car registered in Sweden with personalized plates M…PSD (blow… to PSD), had his driving license suspended and the license plates confiscated by the Romanian Police last Monday.
Car put up for sale
The famous anti-PSD car has been put up for sale on the autovit.ro website. The owner of the car has confirmed, for realitatea.net, that the Audi will be sold.
The famous AUDI A5 car, with which Răzvan Ştefănescu made the tour of Romania, has been put for sale on the website autovit.ro. The asking price is EUR 25,500.
“Yes, it’s true, I’ve decided to sell my car. A friend has put my ad on the net,” Razvan Ştefănescu, owner of the car, has told realitatea.net.
Asked why he decided to sell the car, the driver said: “Initially, I wanted to buy a Q7, but I did not have enough money. I had enough money for A5,” Răzvan Ştefănescu said.
