Several protesters waited Thursday night, at the Cluj International Airport “Avram Iancu” for the three PSD and ALDE Deputies, who supported the amendments to the Criminal Code, to criticize their vote.
The protesters ‘welcomed’ Horia Nasta and Cristina Burciu (PSD) and Steluţa Cătăniciu (ALDE).
The lawmakers came with the Bucharest flight and were welcomed with banners having messages such as “Cluj does not forget, Cluj does not forgive”, “Steluţa Cătăniciu, you sell Cluj to thieves, stay with them”, “Cluj inhabitants are not thieves, whom do you represent in Parliament?”,”The horror citizens of Cluj: Horia Nasta, Steluta Cătăniciu, Cristina Burciu”, and “Steluţa, you are incompatible with Cluj city”, realitatea.net reports.
The three MPs did not come out through the arrivals gate, but the protesters stopped the UDMR leader, Kelemen Hunor, who arrived on the same plane. The protesters also accused him of supporting the amendments to the Criminal Codes in the specialized committees, which makes the UDMR “accomplice of PSD and ALDE”.
One of the protesting women said the three MPs were awaited at the airport to be told that it was unacceptable the way they supported and voted the amendments to the Criminal Code and the Criminal Procedure Code.
“We believe that such people do not represent us and do not know how they will walk among the people in Cluj. They will probably run in Teleorman. The fact that they avoided us shows very clearly that the three PSD and ALDE parliamentarians have a burden on their hearts, knowing that what they did was wrong. What MPs would avoid the citizens they represent without looking into their eyes?”she asked.
