Romania will have its first training center for pilots within the Civil Aviation School, which will be equipped with a complete flight simulator, Full Flight Simulator (FFS) Boeing 737 New Generation (NG). The investment mounts to RON 63 million, Transports Ministry announced.
According to the legislation in force, pilots must train on such a complete flight simulator in order to pilot Multi-Crew aircraft. At present, they have to train abroad, which means substantial costs for the airline operating in Romania.
The existing flight simulators at the Civil Aviation School are static, but they can only help pilots in their initial training programmes.
„The new simulator will enable young pilots to specialize on a certain type of aircraft, namely Boeing 737, while also allowing experienced pilots to have their full training in Romania, which is needed to preserve flight license. The investment mounts to RON 63 million, with several financing sources being considered for this project”,” says the Transports Ministry.
