Almost half of Romanians (40%) say they feel full of energy immediately after they get up and that they are willing to start work first thing in the morning, reads a survey conducted by E.ON and Kantar EMNID in ten European countries.
So, Romanians rank first in the top of the earliest Europeans, with French coming second (29%), while Germans and Czech citizens are on the opposite side.
Thus, all that more than half of the German respondents want….is to get back to bed and fall back asleep in the morning. Moreover, a third of them are quite grumpy first thing in the morning, as they don’t want to talk or addressed in the early hours.
The survey shows that Germany, Sweden (17% each), UK and the Czech Republic (16% each) are ranking last when it comes to the famous saying “the early bird gets the worm”.
On the opposite side, a quarter of the Romanian participants say they even are the most efficient early in the morning, while only 19 percent say are grouchy in the morning hours. Only 10pc of the Romanians say they are more efficient at night.
The most productive though are Turkish citizens, with 18pc stating they are late-night people, while Swedes are the most performing at work in the evening (23pc).
The study “Living in Europe, 2018” has surveyed about 10.000 in the Check Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Romania, Sweden, Turkey and UK.
