Serge Durand, appointed GM Airbus Romania

Airbus appoints Serge Durand to run its operations in Romania, representing the company in front of authorities and partners, a press release informs.

In this position, he will lead the country strategy planning process and will coordinate the company’s activities in Romania, focusing on increasing the presence on the local market.

Moreover, Serge Durand will also continue to lead Airbus Helicopters operations in Romania, a role he has held since 2015

In early 2015, he joined Airbus Helicopters Romania as General Manager. In addition, Durant has been appointed, in June 2015, Managing Director of Airbus Helicopters Industries in Romania. During 2009 – 2014, he had been Managing Director of Airbus Helicopters Mexico, contributing to commercial development, customer satisfaction and setting up the industrial plant of Queretaro.

Previously, he performed as Tiger Service Chief Engineer for five years preparing the entry into service of Tiger.

Serge Durand began his career dedicating ten years in engineering, mainly on Tiger and Super-Puma design, followed by ten years in Communication/Marketing Directorate, then acting as deputy Commercial Director of the International support network.
